Centering in text boxes

M

Michele

I'm creating a template for people to add text to text
boxes. I want it to centre both vertically and
horizontally ie start in the middle of the box. How do I
do it? Would be really grateful for any help as I have to
have these finished for work tomorrow.

Many thanks

There is no option to vertically centre text in a text box. You would have
to do it with paragraph spacing and for that to be effective you'd need to
know how many lines of text were to be inserted. You might have more success
with a table cell.

Many thanks, Graham. Have inserted single table cell in
each box and it works well. Very much appreciate your
help.

I would have thought inserting a single cell *instead* of the box might have
been better still :)

Unless you need to wrap text around it, which can't be done in many versions
of Word.
