Change default properties Shapes and shapesheet

G

Gerben

2 questions
1) How can I modify the default properties of the shapes in my flowcharts?
(eg. colour)
2) Is it possible that all the hyperlinks (from visio into Word) for all the
shapes in my flowcharts always opens in a new window? Now i'd to change for
every shape the shapesheet properties by the section hyperlinks "New Window"
the formula on TRUE. That's a lot of work, alas.

Thanks,

Gerben

Hello Gerben,

Answers as follows:

1) You need to edit the master shapes, on which your instance shapes that
you see in the document are based, in the document ShapeSheet (File / Shapes
/ Show Document Stencil). Check out this link on editting Master shapes:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa200956(office.10).aspx#467

2) Yes, but again you probably need to change the master (so long as the
respective cell still inherits from the master (ie you haven't changed it
locally in the instance shape). If you need to make multiple changes then
you might want to try out a bit of code......have a look at this code
looping blog post and let me know if you have any questions:

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John
