Change Object but keep all animations intact to new object

Hi,

I have my whole presentation done but now I would like to replace a text
box named "John" with an actual picture of him. All the animations are done
and all that's left is to replace this text box with a picture. I'm aware that
I can put the picture in and re-do the animations, but I don't want to
re-create them all if I don't have to. There's got to be a way to do this.
Help please! and thanks in advance.

Which version of PowerPoint do you use? It's easy with PowerPoint 2007: Open
the Image Tools/Format tab, click on replace picture.

Best regards,
Ute
