Change Text boxes into placeholders

Hi all,
I get presentations with many text boxes for the titles etc. Is there an
easy way to convert these boxes into placeolders (so I can use master slide
etc.)

What version of PowerPoint are you using. I believe this is possible in
2007, but it is not possible in earlier versions.
