Changed tasks detection in Project 2007 Prof.

D

David Mensik

Hello,
is possible to detect which tasks were changed after leveling? I mean some
sort of "inteligent" detection - not to compare 2 snapshots - before and
after leveling. The Project 2007 Prof is able to show it in GUI, but is it
possible to detect changed tasks programatically - after few days of
investigation I'm still not able to find appropriate algorithm?

Thanks for help.

Best regards,
David Mensik.

Have you looked at the task.levelingdelay property? It should be non-zero
for tasks which are leveled.

Hi,

Leveling delay doesn't fully answer the question I'm afraid.
When a task is moved by leveling it has a leveling delay.
but when because of that his successor gets delayed, that one will NOT show
a leveling delay since it is the link that made it move, not leveling itself

The full answer is as follows
Before leveling do EXPLICITLY clear leveling
Then after leveling compare Preleveled Start to Start.
Hope this helps,
