Changes to Discussion Groups

Since the change a few weeks back these "Discussion Groups" have become very
frustrating. Many times, when I am already signed in, and I click on the
button and drop down list for a "New" Question, all I get is my cursor
changes to a littl ehand with a yellow star on it, and I think a question
mark. Soon that goes away and nothing happens! That just happened to me
now. After 10 minutes of trying to get a question posted...I gave up logged
out and then back in...now I am able to post a question. This is not what I
wanted to ask...I'll go to Outlook discussion for that, but can you tell me
why this is happening and how to stop it?

Why don't you switch to using a real newsgroup reader. Outlook express
does a pretty good job.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Open Outlook Express Newsreader and click Tools - Accounts click the News
tab and add the newsgroup msnews.microsoft.com then download the entire list
of newsgroups.
Search for the groups you wish to keep track of and add them.
You can also add other news servers and can go here for a list of
specialized news servers.
