Changing Case

Can anyone tell me how to change UPPERCASE TEXT to Title
Case for a whole column in Excel (97)?

I don't know of a way within Excel. As a workaround, I'd copy the
entire column to Word and use Shift+F3 to change the case. Then copy
it back to Excel. This assumes that there are no equations in that
column. Hopefully someone will answer with a better way. Good luck.

Hi

For a non-VBA solution, use a helper column alongside your existing column
with
=PROPER(A1)
in and then fill down. If you are happy with the result, you can then select
the whole range and Copy / Paste Special / Values to fix the values in
place, and then delete your original (if required)

How about inserting a column next to the colum in question, in the top cell of
the inserted column type =proper(point to cell next to it)
Copy this entry down the entire cell you need
Then copy the column you just created, highlight 1st entry in col you wanted
changed and Paste special, values
Delete inserted column
