Character Spacing

I'm using Word 2003 and have a 200 page document that was scanned from a
hardcopy to pdf and was then converted to Word. In a number of places, the
character spacing is less than 100%. Is there a way to search the entire
document to find the text that is less than 100%? I did use styles with the
document, but the styles didn't change the character spacing to 100%.

You can use Find/Replace function to find the spacing less than 100% and
return to normal. This will require several runs to cover the different
scales that has been applied.
Also if you have used styles, try using the Ctrl+Spacebar to remove any
manual formatting from your Styles. I would believe that the scaling would be
a manula formatting that has been transferred into your document.
Hope this helps

Glad this worked for you.
But which "this", the Replace or the Ctrl+Spacebar, or Both ;-)
