Check for Macros using Word 2000?

Andy

Hi,
Is there any way i can programatically (i.e. using .NET) check a word
document for macros? Obviously it would only be sensible to be able to do
this without allowing the AutoOpen macro to fire in the first place.
We allow uploads of word docs to a web site, but really need to disallow
uploading if they contain macros to be safe from viruses.

If anyone knows a way we can ndo this - using the word 2000 object model (or
any ideas) It would be most appreciated.

This is what the macro security settings in Word are all about. If you set
your security to medium, you will be asked when opening whether or not to
allow macros to run. You can disable them at that point and delete the
document without any risk that I know about.
