circle around number in table cell in Word, circle jumps out of c.

I need to put a circle around a number in a table cell in a MS Word. When I
draw a circle and put it around the number it keeps jumping out of the cell.
Any ideas?

Wordsmith, did you format the circle? Format the object to allow characters
to be placed in the circle, then change the order to see the character and
group them so you are able to move them in unison.
