Clicking Print from the File menu

Publisher 2002 gives an error when clicking Print from
the File menu. AppName: mspub.exe AppVer: 10.0.4128.0
ModName: comdlg32.dll ModVer: 6.0.2800.1106 Offset:
0000b11e

I can print by clicking the Print button from the toolbar
or by going to the print preview and printing. It had
been working fine, printed one thing and then tried to
print again and now get this message every time.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Publisher, both printer
drivers and am still receiving the error. I did have
this same issue occur on another system and cannot recall
how I fixed it.

Any ideas?

After managing to set up OE-QuoteFix on his new PC, Ed reads a message

This looks like you have a corrupt Microsoft Common Dialogs dll file.
Download a new version of the Common Dialogs from here:
http://www.miclog.com/download/commondialog.htm
Delete your comdlg32.dll from c:\windows\system (you may need to be in Safe
Mode to do this) and install the update.

Change the printer driver name to 8 characters with no spaces.

I vaguely remember doing this the last time, but I had to
change it in the registry. Also my printers are setup
through Active Directory. I am not sure if that make a
difference. I tried to change it through the Printer
folder and that did not fix it. Do you know what
registry key to adjust?
