Clip art organizer won't work. Says RPC server unavailable

Hi,
The subject line pretty much says it. I'm using XP with Office XP
Developer.

My clip art organizer used to work (it's been 6 months since I used
it). When I open it, I get an error saying it can't complete the operation
because the RPC server is unavailable. Error # is 0x800706BA

I checked my network stuff, and found my RPC service is set to
manual, but stopped. I only found that out using the system service
viewer. I have no idea how to actually configure the thing on XP, or if I
even need to.

My event viwer doesn't list any errors, so I don't know what to do.
Has anyone ever seen this? Any clues as to what might be causing my
troubles?

Hi Mary,
Thanks for the pointer. I searched the KB before I posted but didn't
turn it up.
I wonder if I have something more hienous going on. I downloaded the
update to MDAC, and it failed, saying all the components were part of my OS
(XP S2). I downloaded the cc_pkg component checker, and it says I have
version 2.81 now.
Any other thoughts? (I could sure use them)
