Found a photo in Publisher Clip Art Gallery I'd like to use
in a magazine ad, but the image is low resolution. How do
I locate / acquire a high resolution file of that image?

This is from the help section on the Design Gallery
For Commercial Printers with High-End Equipment
In some cases, using a standard photo from Publisher 2002 Content CD's may not
produce an image of high enough resolution for the type of printing you are doing. To
meet this need, Design Gallery Live makes available high-resolution images for
professional printing.

To find a high-resolution image use the following procedures:

Determine the filename of the original Publisher 2002 photo

In Clip Organizer or the Insert Art task pane of Publisher 2002:
Point to the thumbnail, click the arrow on the right of the thumbnail, and then click
Previews/Properties.
In Previews/Properties, after Name: the filename is shown.

If you have received a finished Publisher 2002 document for printing that contains a
photo, and need to check if there is a high-resolution version of the photo available
for download:
Right click the image, select Change Picture, and then click Graphics Manager.
Information for the selected image will be highlighted and the filename will be show
under the Name column.
On the Insert menu, point to Picture, click Clip Art, and the Insert Clip Art task
pane opens.
In the Insert Clip Art task pane, click Clips Online, and then in the Search for: box
enter the filename.

Note Enter the filename without the .jpg file extension, for example, type just
j0216135 to search for image j0216135.jpg.

Then click GO on the right side of the Search for: box.
Click the thumbnail to preview the image.
If under Show More by phrase:, the phrase HighResolution is listed, this is the
high-resolution version of the photo.

Download the file from DGL

Download High-Resolution Images from Design Gallery Live
Go to the Options page and select the correct file format to download:
For Office XP or greater select .mpf.
For other than Office XP select .cil.
In the Search for: box, type the high-resolution image filename.

Note Enter the high-resolution image filename without the .jpg file extension, for
example, type just j0216135 to search for high-resolution image j0216135.jpg.

Note Only enter specific image filename in the Search for: box. Do not type anything
in the Search in:, Results should be: or Order by: boxes. These should be left in the
default setting of ... .

Note Do not use browse to try and find high-resolution images. You can only find
high-resolution images with search.

Click GO.
Select the image or images to download. Your image will be in the Downloaded Clips
collection.
