Clipboard in Access 2002

How do you disable the *#&!Y#@ thing!
-turn the caps lock off?

Seriously, I don't think you can disable the clipboard directly. You could
trap the key sequence in critical parts of your app I guess. You could lookup
help on Clipboard where I see you can clear the clipboard, for instance. It
sounds like a lot of work to me.

Why do you want to disable the clipboard?

Thanx for your reply.
For example, I'm updating one record in a table with
the contents of the row above it. Cut-and-paste, move
left one, etc. After multiple Cut-and-pastes, up pops
the clipboard screen right where I want to past the data.
Useless.

Open the Clipboard (Edit | Office Clipboard...). Click Options. Deselect the
option "Show Office Clipboard Automatically". Select the option "Collect
Without Showing Office Clipboard".

But if you have two rows showing one above the other and want to fill the bottom
row cells with what is in the row immediately above it, you don't need to cut
and paste. Just enter the "cell" you want to fill and press control+quote. As
a matter of fact the prior record in the recordset doesn't even have to be
visible and this will work.
