Cntl C not working right

Just recently my computer stopped using cntl + (key) commands, they just show
as the letter. This is a killer for cut & paste. No new software has been
added, all scan current and nothing found. Only things that have come in are
MS Updates. But my other home network computer doesn't have this problem.
I'm running windows 2000 & office 2000. This problem is in Outlook, Word,
Excel, and Notepad. Did I change something inadvertently? Anyone have a
solution?

Since it happens in non-Offices applications also, try a reboot.

May also be worth trying the other Ctrl key on other side of keyboard. could
be a faulty keyboard/key.

Bob, the computer gets shut down every day, so a reboot wouldn't help.

Stewart, both Ctrl had the same problem.

Now the good news is, it has healed its self! I've done nothing to it and
it is working fine. Funny, I waited/lived with the problem, daily, for 2
weeks before I posted my question.
