Collaboration in Visio

Are there any plans for future versions of visio to support collaboration
within a single visio document? The project I am currently working on
requires that a team of 4-5 Information Architects work on a single document.
Right now, we are using linked files to create a "collaboration syste" but
it does not scale well and we are beginning to run into performance issues.
It would be great if a check-in/check-out/publish feature (like those
available in sharepoint or sourcesafe) was available for this product.

Visio 2007 can interact well with SharePoint libraries, and performs
document check-in and check-out functions already.
There are no real-time collaboration features for allowing two people to
each work on the same drawing at the same time, however. But this is the
same functionality that Excel and PowerPoint have, for instance.

At this point nothing has been announced for future versions. Keep an eye
on Office Online for announcements for the future betas and announcements.
