Hi Everyone

still lurking here in the background..picking up whatever i can. today i am
stumped...

pub2000
document contains 1 eps and text- 2color separations needed

i formatted eps to pantone process black and process cyan (both cvu),then
changed the text to thier corresponding (cvu) colors in the pub doc

commecial printing tools: cmyk or spot colors produce the same results;

when i print to file and distill to a pdf the eps separates fine, the black
text separates ok, but the cvu cyan text when printed to postscript output
device separates wit cyan, magenta and yellow.

I am using Mac's distiller settings and i never have problems with seps on
those, so i'm thinking i have something fudged in publisher.

any help or requests for more info will be greatly appreciated

From memory, I don't think you can do it in Publisher 2000.
If there was only one colour on the text you could set it up as Spot Colour,
but not with two colour separations.
In Publisher 2003 you can set-up more than one Spot Colour, but not in
Publisher 2000 if my memory serves me correctly.
Of course you can do it manually if you want. Only takes a few seconds. If
the document is only a couple of pages, quicker to do it manually.

Hmmm. No reference to your favored Page Plus? I have no problems with
seps using PP. BTW, Dave, are you up to PagePlus v.10 yet? If so, how
is it?
Blessed be, for sure...

Thank you, David

as it turned out, We printed it in-house directly from publisher... the
customer wanted raised printing but did not want to pay to have us reset fot
the business card house.
