combining parts of two ppt shows?

If someone has two ppt's and say, wants to combine the first 6 slides of one
show with the last 9 slides of the second show, is there a way to do that
without losing the programming from either show?

One way which you can get this might be adding an action button for the
forward and hyperlink it to the particular slide of the other slide

As well as vindys suggestion, they could use insert -> slides from file ->
tick the 'keep source formatting' box. In 2007 this can be found in the new
slide drop down under 're-use slide'.
