Compact a database on shutdown

Hi guys

What I want to do is to compact my database when I the application. I have
followed the code at http://www.mvps.org/access/general/gen0041.htm, but it
restarts the application. Is there anyway I can stop this happening?

This is a built in option in Access. Have you turned on "compact on exit"?
Does this not meet your needs for some reason?
