Compatibility issues with MS WORD between my MAC and PC's

Processor: Intel

I have been sending resume' attachments out for about the last month and I keep on getting emails back saying that the PC's first of all dont associate a program with the attached file, secondly when they do open it in word it opens at 200% or doesn't open at all.

What do I do??? Which extension and/or formatting should I use?

Don't send your resume as an attached Word document in the first place...
even if you could correct the issues you're running into it leaves the
document editable for anyone who wants to hire their nephew instead to alter
your content. The main source of the problem, though, is that you're
apparently sending it to companies who haven't bothered to keep their Office
software updated. Otherwise they wouldn't be having a problem unless the
file is being mangled by the email systems.

If you *must* send a Word doc make sure thaat you use filename extensions,
zip before attaching & make sure your email software is set to use the right
encoding for attachments.
