Hi Randi,
As you have discovered, the To-Do List report shows all tasks (complete
and incomplete) for the resource selected when the Using Resource...
filter runs. By creating a custom filter (detailed below) and
customizing the To-Do List report (also detailed below) you can run a
report showing only incomplete tasks for the selected resource.
Create a custom filter (Project> Filtered For > More Filters > New)
Name the filter. (I used Incomplete tasks using resource)
First Row:
Field Name: Resource Names
Test: Contains
Value: "Which resource"? **be sure to type the value as shown with
quotes and question mark outside closing quote.
Second Row:
AND
Field Name: % Complete
Test: Does not equal
Value: 100%
Save and close the filter.
To customize the report:
View > Reports > Assignments
Click the To-Do List report and click the Edit button
Rename the report (I used Incomplete To-Do List report)
On the Definition tab of the Task Report dialog box under Filters,
select the custom filter you created in the steps above.
Click the OK button to save and close the report and return to the
Assignment Reports dialog box.
Click Close to close the Assignment reports dialog box and return to the
Reports dialog box.
In the reports dialog box, double click the Custom category.
Your custom report should appear in the list.
Run the report as usual.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
