I need to create a booklet 8 1/2" x 11", that gets stapled
together in the middle, creating 2 pages 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.
The text on the pages needs to print sideways on the page,
meaning that you need to turn the booklet to read it
correctly. The only way I can figure out how to do this
is by rotating each and every frame, and the booklet is
about 80 pages long. Also, most of it is coming from an
excel spreadsheet. The pages from excel need headers on
the left-hand pages only, to identify each column. And,
the page numbers need to be in the upper right hand corner
for the left-hand pages, and the lower right hand corner
for the right hand pages (when the book is turned sideways
to read). All advice is hugely appreciated.

Requires a bit of thinking to get your head around this one.

I doubt there is any program that will achieve easily what you want.

I will give it some thought and post back.

Robin that is a great bit of Canon gear you have there.

Would be a breeze with quality Canon gear.

No thoughts in the alternative? copy, paste, rotate, resize each page?

After a little thought, the following might work:
Create your publication on one page to a side, landscape.
Create a PDF file.
Print the PDF file in a portrait orientation, with Auto Rotate and Center
turned on, using a program such as FinePrint 2000 from www.fineprint.com to
get the booklet layout done.
