% Complete refers to the percentage of the Duration "used up" on a task.
For example, a resource is assigned to work on a 80-hour Fixed Duration task
with a 10 day Duration. So far, the team member has performed only 20 hours
of Actual Work during the first week (5 days) of work on the task.
Therefore, the % Complete value is 50%, indicating that 50% (5 days) of the
10-day "window of opportunity" (Duration) has been used up on this task.
Because of this, the % Complete field might actually be called Percent
Duration Complete field.

% Work Complete is the percentage of the Work hours actually completed on a
task. For example, a resource is assigned to work on a 80-hour Fixed
Duration task with a 10 day Duration. The team member performed 20 hours of
Actual Work during the first week. Therefore, the % Work Complete is 25%,
indicating that 25% of the scheduled Work has actually been completed.
Notice in this example that the % (Duration) Complete is 50% while the %
Work Complete is only 25%, indicating that the task is either behind
schedule, or that the task is a "back loaded" task in which most of the work
will occur during the 2nd week.

Physical % Complete represents the amount of phyiscal work that has been
performed. For example, your company is supposed to pave 100 miles of
concrete roadway, and you have completed 25 miles of the road to date.
Therefore, your Physical % Complete would be 25%.

Hope this helps.
