Concurrent slide shows

On a multi-display system if I run two or more timed slide shows only the
active task progresses. Can Power Point Slide shows be set to run in the
background? If so, how would I do this?

You would need to use an add-in like PowerShow from
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html to have multiple
simultaneous slide shows.
