Conflict between Microsoft Publisher and Office XP 2002

Need urgent help to be able to continue my work!!
I upgrade from Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business
Edition to Microsoft office XP 2002.

When I install Microsoft office XP 2002 DOES NOT allow me
to use my Publisher. If I installed the Publisher (in
fact the complete Office 2000 package) after having
installed the Microsoft office XP 2002, the Publisher
will work but the Microsoft office XP 2002 WILL NOT.

I need both packages and need to resolve this issue!!
I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks again!

You can have Publisher 2000 and XP on your computer, put 2000 in a separate folder.

Uninstall all versions of Office you have on your machine.
Install Microsoft Office XP.
Then install ONLY CD2 from Microsoft Office 2000 (the one with Publisher
on).

If Office XP stops working, rerun Office XP setup, and select to repair your
installation.

I had the same problem, see my post yesterday, however, I
read where this happens when you try to install disk 2 in
a dvd drive. Sure enough, I installed in the regular
cd/cdw drive and it installed correctly. I then updated
it on the microsoft office download site...hope this helps
