connecting story sections

I have a story where page 35 doesn't connect to page 36. I want to connect
these pages. The problem is that publisher only lets me connect a page to a
blank text box. As both page 35 and 36 aren't blank, I can't find a way to do
this.

Create a blank text box on page 36, then use the overflow feature on page 35
info to connect to the blank page 36 box.

Select all the text on page 36, cut it to the clipboard, connect the
text boxes, paste the text back in.

I'm really havingproblems with this. I also don't see a way to replay to
messages other than writing in the space above sent messages as this one.

I believe I followed what you said. I noticed that page 35 is not linked to
page 36. I then cut page 36 to the clipboard. I then clicked on page 35 and
the link icon. I then went to page 36 and clicked there when the cup icon
appeared. I then used control V to paste the clipboard material to page 36.
Instead I got something that came way back in the story. I also noticed that
page 35 was still not linked to page 36.

So I started over. I then went through the same steps but copied the
clipboard material to a word file. I was able to copy that material to page
36 (although the formatting was wrong). The problem is that page 35 and 36
still showed no link arrows

One other thing: I was not able to respond to the link from Microsoft
regarding these posts. I did receive a message that a post was received but
when I tried to open it, I got a blank screen with Done on the bottom. I had
to log onto this site to respond to these posts. I am not having any other
email problems.

Are you using the littlechain and coffee cup icons to link the text boxes
together?

Have you considered doing all your text in Word then importing to Publisher.
Publisher will automatically create text boxes and pages. You then can insert
your images.

yes, I didn't know there was any other way to link text boxes but using the
chain and coffee cup icons.

I considered using Word and may have no other choice but I don't like the
way Publisher converts to word as the foratting is erratic. However, I bought
this program with the assumption I could do basic things like moving pages
without having them link back t o the original text, moving t ext and objects
together, etc. So far, I'm spending all my time trying to do basic editing
and can't. In fac t, I went to Microsoft support and was promised someone
would address the issues I'm having in 2 4 hours. It's way past that now and
I'm really frustrated.

If you enter additional text on page 35, does the text reflow onto page
36 to accommodate?

Can you email me the file (preferably as it was before the fiddling
spoiled the formatting) to take a look at? My address is:

Here's the problem: there is no link between page 35 & 36. page 36 links to
the rest of the book. If I try to select the text on page 36 and cut it to
the clipboard, page 37 (which is linked to page 36) backfills into page 36,
so I still have no blank page to link page 35 to and can't link these pages
