If you are doing it infrequently (or even daily)
Probably best to stop the server and replace the db w/ an updated one
| Thanks for your reaction.
| So, I ‘like to explain the next situation and ask you one more question.
| I have an Access DB which is updated be reading E-mail from my inbox, send
| by my customers.
| My customers themselves have also an Access DB that generates the E-mail and
| send it to me.
| With a web site this situation will be:
| 1: My customer logs on to the web site, fills in a form that is based on a
| DB on that web site. (This DB is a subset of the DB that runs on my local
| computer)
| 2: My customer sends me the form by E-mail just using de facilities on the
| form at the web site. (Send E-mail button)
| 3: My local DB processes this data and generates a new subset from the local
| DB.
| 5: Then the new subset will be uploaded to the website.
| On this last part I have a question.
| Whenever step 5 is done, will I be able to update the DB that is already on
| the web site by using some kind of update query, or should I replace the
| complete DB with an updated one?
