Our administrator usually keeps several Word 2003 documents open and
they appear as separate Windows in her taskbar.
She frequently opens additional documents by double-clicking Word
documents attached to emails. When she does this, Word 2003 “restores”
one of the other (usually minimised) document windows before opening the
additional document in a new window.
When she finishes with the additional document and Xs out of the Word
2003 window, she has to minimise the “restored” document before she can
get back to the email Window.
Is there any way to prevent Word 2003 “restoring” this other window when
double-clicking attachments?
Unclicking the “Windows in Taskbar” checkbox in Word 2003 does not
really work for her as an option.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
