Hi,

Is there a way to edit manually a 'completed' Table of Contents? I have
generated the T-of-C and would like to add a number of notations- for
instance "Part One" above Chapters One, Two and Three & etc. Is there an
equivalent of converting table to text that might apply here?

TIA.

Hi Michael,

You can edit the TOC, if you take care to only update page numbers
thereafter, and not the entire TOC (else, your changes will be lost).

Or if you are sure the headings and page numbers won't change any more, you
can convert the TOC into text (UnlinkFields: Ctrl+Shift+F9). But if you
then change the document (or even print it on another machine with another
printer driver), the TOC won't be updated, so you would have to do the
whole TOC once more.

Regards,
Klaus
