Converting after activation

I inadvertently activated a trial of Office 2003 when what I had intented to
do was activate (without reinstall) using the product key from the cd that I
bought at a retail store. Is there a way to convert after the license is
already activated? I don't want to have to take the software I purchased at
the retail store back as it was quite a bit cheaper than what's offered on
microsoft's site.
