Converting back to Word

Joyce

Hi all,
I wasn't sure where to ask this question but here goes
anyway.
Is there any way that I can convert a PDF file back into
a Word document?

If you have the full version of Acrobat -- not the reader -- you can save as
a Word document (Acrobat 6) or as RTF (Acrobat 5). Quality of result depends
on the complexity of the document.

There are Acrobat clones around that might do it also.

If you just need to extract the text, a work-around is to install a generic
text-only printer on port FILE: and print the document to that. You end up
with a .prn file which is plain text and can be opened in Word.

G'Day Joyce,

If you have a Scanner, have a look at your OCR
software.

I use Abbyy Finereader v7, and it will open a PDF
file as an "image" and "scan" it - a standard feature
is to save the recognised text/images to Word.
