Copy from Excel into Powerpoint

I feel stupid asking this because it seems so simple. I have a power point
presentation that has many charts that are pasted in from Excel. The file
ended up at 19,156KB. I compressed all of the pictures and it only went down
to 19,139KB. I know that there must be a better way to do this and not make
the file so big. Any suggestions?

Nevermind....it was a stupid question that I just figured out myself. I had
originally pasted them in as .bmp files. I changed them to enhanced
metafiles and it went down to 677KB.
