copy mail to folders on hard drive

Good day,
i previously used Outlook 2000 and was able to
createfolder shortcuts on my outlook homepage. These
folders were on my hard drive. I was able to move very
important emails to this folder. I have now moved to
Outlook 2003 and although i have created these very same
folders, i am not able to move mail to these folders on
the Outlook homepage,

please assist,
