Copy & Paste Excel

How can I copy from Excel without embedding the whole spreadsheet behind it?
I want just a "picture". I'm hoping to save space on my PPT file.

In PPT 2002/2003 when you select and copy appropriate
information from an Excel spreadsheet then paste it into
PowerPoint, the spreadsheet copies as a table.

However, if you select Edit > Paste Special in
PowerPoint, you have the option to paste as different
kinds of "pictures."

If you highlight the Excel cells you want to insert into your ppt, right
click, select copy and then paste directly into the slide you will find this
goes in as a table as opposed to a spreadsheet.

This is assuming that you don't want to keep the spreadsheet data in the ppt
up to date.

hope this helps
