Copying Address books

SL Mourning

I think my real problem is I don't know how to ask the built-in help feature
the right question. Can someone point me to information, please, about how
to copy my Outlook address book from my office computer to my home office
computer so I can work off of our VPN? Many thanks, SLM

Create a new PST file using the File menu > New > Outlook Data File command
Copy your Contacts folder into that PST
Exit Outlook
Copy that PST file onto some sort of media for transport to home
Put that PST file on to your home machine
Open it in Outlook using the File menu > Open > Outlook Data File
Copy the info you need into your Contacts folder

If you are not using a pab (Personal Address Book) and your addresses are in
the Contact folder then you can export the Contact folder to a CSV or Excel
or even PST file and then import that in. Do you also connect to an Exchange
Server!

Importing and exporting to transfer data from one Outlook instance to
another is always a bad idea, unless you LIKE losing data.
