Is there a setting available whereby when you've copied an object and clicked
Paste, the duplicate object doesn't appear adjacent to it's orgin location?
If not, can someone explain the MS logic in having the pasted object appear
essentially in it's original place?

thanks-

Hi Kevin-

Where would you have it go? :)

If on a different page, go to that page before you paste, but I have not
found any means of 'precisely' pasting into a specific location unles you are
copying/pasting an In Line graphic. In that ase, the pasted copy goes where
your insertion point lies in the text. If the graphic has any other Text Wrap
it _usually_ will paste adjacent to the one that was copied.

The only variation I've found is if you paste using the Clipboard Task Pane.
The object will paste in somewhat closer to where the insertion point is at
the time.

The 'logic' seems to revolve around the anchor for the graphic, which gets
copied & pasted as well. The copy is offset from the original to make it
easier to locate.
