copying filtered data to a new spreadsheet

After I filter data I would like to take that data and copy it to another spreadsheet. When I try to copy the data - everything gets copied. Any suggestions?

Highlight the area containing the cells then select:

Edit>Goto>Special and then select "Visible Cells" - when
you then copy and paste only the cells visible in your
filtered range will be copied.

Hi

Another way is to select a single cell within the range and hit Ctrl *
This selects all the cells within the range. Pasting it into a new sheet
works fine.
