Copying formula based on pivot table

In Excel 2000 I could create formula based on data in a
pivot table and then copy the formula down for each row in
the table.
In Excel 2002 I cannot do this, each cell remains
unchanged.
Is there a workaround? Thanks.

Presumably you mean in cells outside the pivot table.
Sure you haven't left Excel calculation on Manual

Yes formula outside cells. I checked calculation and it is
set on Automatic. Any other ideas?
