copying the URL underlying displayed text

When one puts the mouse on text that is associated with a
URL link, the mouseover causes the URL to be revealed; but
I can't figure out how to copy the URL other than by
writing it down on paper and rekeying it. Help please.
Thanks.

Move the pointer over the hyperlink until it turns into a hand
Right click and on the shortcut menu, click Toggle Field Codes
Select the characters that make up the URL
Click Copy on the Edit menu
Right click the field codes and click Toggle Field Codes
Paste the URL wherever you'd like

Depending on what version of word you are using (I am assuming Word XP or 2003) another way of capturing the URL is to do the following:

Highlight the word that is a reference to the URL
Press "CTRL K" which is the edit hyperlink command
The Hyperlink edit box will come up and you can copy the URL from the text box entitled Address.

.Ta da! Thank you so much. By the way, the only way I
could figure out to copy the address value was with
control-C. When I go under edit or use the copy icon, it
just thumps at me; and there doesn?t seem to be any place
on the Hyperlink edit box that provides a copy capability.
Thanks.

.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the
pointer to turn into a hand.

I was able, however, to Edit the Hyperlink and copy the URL
from the address field by using ctrl-C. Thanks again for
the help.
