I tried copying the drawing created in Visio to Word file but whenever I
convert the word document to pdf , it spoils the diagram and image and text
is moved to different places in document.

Please suggest what to do

Charu,

I've found it's better to export the visio drawing to the best PDF output.
So, in Visio, select the drawing you after (CTRL+A) or create a selection of
the shapes you want, then File>SaveAs... and select the .wmf file format.
In Word: Insert>Picture>From File... and select the image you saved, then
print to Distiller.

NB, I've also tried .emf but found .wmf produces better result in the pdf.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John

I do this quite extensively with only one problem (pdf conversion of semi
transparent fill regions dont come out too well). I always place the visio
drawing after drop (right click...format object).
