Corrupt attatchments since upgrade to Tiger

same problem with all attachment encoding schemes.did a clean install of
Tiger, all updates to entourage applied. using PB1.33GHZ 1.25GB ram

Can you define what you mean by "same problem", to make sure it really is
the same?

The problem discussed on this thread has been linked to Little Snitch and
NetBarrier, and presumably any other programs that do similar
network-blocking things. I think LS has an update with a workaround, NB
doesn't.

Are you saying you are still seeing attachments corrupted on sending without
either of those installed? Have they ever been installed?

I'm happy to report that in my limited testing of Entourage after
installing 10.4.2, the attachment corruption seems to have been fixed.
This is great news (so far...)!

How wrong I can be! I guess in my enthousiam of installing 10.4.2 and
having the problem disappear, I triggered it again because it's now
back. For no apparent reason, to me at least, I now get corrupt
attachments again. It worked fine yesterday but today it's back to
ground zero. Let's hope Intego, Apple, and Microsoft really get
together and fix this.

There must be some application, extension, or configuration issue that is
unique to (or common with other people) that is causing this. It is
certainly not an apple and/or Microsoft only problem.

I have NEVER had any issue with sending attachments. I do it daily with may
files to many PC users. Upgrading to 10.4.2 had no effect and everything
continues to work properly.

I think it has been shown in this thread and others that the having
NetBarrier or Little Snitch installed triggered the problem. Little
Snitch was updated (actually the author said it was more of a
workaround then a fix) and NetBarrier has not been. In talking to
Intego, they said it's an interaction issue that Apple is aware of and
hopefully the fix would be included in 10.4.2. Unfortunately it
wasn't. This problem was introduced with Tiger, does that make it an
Apple only problem, no. It only affects Entourage, does that make it a
Microsoft only problem, no. NetBarrier triggers it, does it make it an
Intego only problem, no. This is a problem that all THREE companies
need to address. Just blaming it on one of the other two and doing
nothing about it signifies laziness and bad business practice.

I've had no problems with the latest Entourage, Little Snitch and 10.4.2.
Does the corruption happen on multiple attachments only?

For me it happens on one or more attachments and is related to
NetBarrier I think. There are others with the same issue unfortunately
if you go back through the thread...

The latest version of netbarrier is supposed to fix the problem.

I have the latest version of NetBarrier installed (10.3.6) and I still
have the problem. So hopefully what you are refering to is a version
not yet released..
