Cost Roll Up in Project 2003

I am interested in rolling up column costs in MSP 2003. The COST column
automatically rolls sums the sub amounts up. However, if I choose COST2, it
does not provide this functionality. What is a way I can roll up $ amounts
in other COST columns?

Do the following:

1. Open the project in question
2. Click Tools - Customize - Fields
3. Select the Cost value as the field Type
4. Select the Cost2 or whatever field you wish to use
5. Click the Rename button, give the field a new name, and click the OK
button
6. In the Calculation for task and group summary rows section, select the
Rollup option
7. Click the Rollup pick list and select the Sum option
8. Click the OK button

That's how. Hope this helps.

Hi Keith,

If I have a filter on the "Task Name" row, how must I create a filed which
only rollup the filtered values?
