There is no such thing, really, as pages in Word.

You don't really explain the symptoms very well, but I suspect all you
have to do is insert a page break at the bottom of the part of the Word
document that is the end of what you want to be the cover page.

I've found the best way for me to create a Cover page is type the text
for subject and center. Then go to format the select page and choose
center. start s beginning of typed item and hit returns until page is
center use zoom level of 50% so that you can see position.

I wish there was a button to push where could type a Title and instantly
it would be in exactly the middle of the Page vertically and Horizontally.

Yes I realize Words knows nothing of Pages. But I am referring to
Printing a Document.

What you're experiencing is that the overwhelming majority of printers are
not capable of printing edge-to-edge on standard US Letter size paper or
larger. They require a minimum margin on all four sides & one is often more
than the other 3. There are ways you may be able to 'force' it, most likely
they will not give you a satisfactory result.

I'll try to write this again:

Have the answers you've been given over the past month+ not registered with you?

If your printer can't print to the edge of the page, there's nothing Word can do to change that.

Ok, I will try to explain in detail.
First I choose a cover page (number 6). When it is applied, the title page seems to be un-centred and there is a large gap from the cover page itself to the bottom of the page. Where as in the thumbnail image of the cover page, it seems to look like there is a lets say 1cm gap from the left side, right side, top and bottom of the cover page from the page itself. The cover page in the thumbnail seems to look centred a there is an equal gap between all of the edges of the page. Where as when I apply the cover page to my document, there is an abnormally large gap and the cover page is not centred.

Thanks

Can I get someone's email and I will send them an email of a scan of what the cover page looks like? It would be much easier!

Thanks

OK, let me summarize more concisely:

The Cover Pages are designed & scaled for U.S. Letter paper size.

You're using A4 which is larger but not *proportionally* so.

The Cover Page elements are anchored in the upper left corner, so there is
additional space created at the bottom & less space on the right.

To cover the entire page with the blue graphic or change its dimensions in
any way you'll have to select & stretch it like any other rectangle.

You'll also have to reposition the text box:

Click its edge & use the Alignment list in the Size, Rotation, & Ordering
group of the Formatting Palette. First select 'Align to Page' then open the
list again & select 'Align Center'.

What is "number 6"? When you say "chose", chose from what? What do you
> mean "apply the cover page to my document". How do you "apply"?

When you click document elements, then cover pages, then each cover page has a number and I mean the number 6 cover page.

Ah. I see. As others mentioned, if by "entire page" you mean missing the
fancy colours on the edges ... I'm pretty sure it's only due to your
printer being unable to print to the paper edge and via the vendor's
printer driver, Word knows that. If essential, get access to a printer
that prints to the paper's edge.

It is not when it is printed out that it is not edge to edge, it is when it is applied to the document, there is not an equal 'white' boarder around the edges (you know, how in the thumbnail there is a little white boarder around all the title pages?)

Hi MacUser,

Even in Print Preview, Word will blank out anything overlapping the non-printable area returned to it by the current printer driver.
If you want a full-bleed effect, use a PDF print driver - and print to PDF. Do bear in mind, though, that your printer still won't
print to the edges - just as Word indicated.
