CRC Error with .pst disk to C drive copying

Aloha,

In the last 15 seconds of copying time we receive a CRC error while trying
to transfer my Outlook backup to the hard drive. This hard drive is brand
new and I desperately need to get these business emails downloaded. Any
ideas are appreciated.

Also, we did run a scan disk test and everything checked out fine.

In that case it might be the PST file on the CD/DVD is bad. Did you check it
out after the disc was burned?

Aloha Vince,

We did not check the information after it was burned. I guess my husband
figured since he has done this so many times that it was alright. Is
there any way that there could be a problem with the new hard drive?

My guess would be that the problem lies with the PST file on the CD/DVD as
per what Vince has said, its unlikely to be the new hard disk (although its
possible) can you copy other files onto the new hard disk without any errors
?? If you can then that will hopefully show that the new disk is fine

Thank you for your response. Yes, we have been able to transfer all other
backups including Quickbooks to the laptop after the new hard disk was
installed.

Then my question would be "Are there any ways to try and fix the .pst files
