Create a database

AnointedSista

Hi to all. I am a student and I need someone to create a database for me it can be on anything. I got to have this turned in May 5. This may sound crazy but I just do not have the time to do it! It needs to include
*At least two table
*A form containing a subfor
*At least two report
*Two or more macro
*A switchboar
*Relationships between tables should be establishe
Finally, I need an attachement of 1-2 pages explanation of what the database is designed to do or what I am trying to accomplish with it. also include how many tables, forms, reports, and macros to expect

If someone can help please let me know I'll pay if necessary.

I would get busy working on this if I were you. The Northwind database is a
good sample of a more complex database that you can at least see some of
what you will need to create on your own.

this is pretty hilarious! i just started reading the newsgroups last summer,
do you usually see a lot of these requests from students near the end of
semester?

C

Cheryl Fischer

Most of them are far more inventively written than this one, with some
attempt to disguise the true intent. This is the first one I've noticed
that came with such detailed "specs".

All that was missing was the class syllabus and the
time/location for the class!!

Sure, I'll make one for the person. I'll make it an MDE
file and put this message box in the About Form:

MsgBox "Hello Professor, my name is " _
& "Jeff Conrad and I proudly made " _
& "the following sample database " _
& "for this student. I hope you " _
& "like it. Please send the grade " _
& "to me. Thanks!", vbInformation, _
"Surprise!"

Rosie

That was real funny Jeff. I'm sure if you request the syllabus and class time/location she'll send it! Seems to me it's a person who in fact probably don't know what she's doing at all, someone please help her :). Tina what was so hilarious about that? let us in on it. I'm sure you've asked for help at some point and time in your life.

i've never taken a class and asked somebody else to do an assignment *for
me*, nor have i ever taken credit for somebody else's work, never mind offer
to pay for it. that's commonly known as cheating. what was hilarious was how
blatantly she asked for somebody to please do her work for her. if you don't
see the humor in that, then just chalk it up to different sensibilities and
roll on.

I'm not trying to argue with you miss Tina I don't even know you. I forgot some people are so "perfect" they would never admit to doing any wrong, by the way I will chalk it up and roooollll on.

Rosie,
Anyone here would be more than eager to HELP her with her assignment, but we
are NOT willing to do it for her. If she has specific and pointed questions
about how to do a certain task, we will be more than glad to help her with
those questions. However, everyone else's comments here are on target -- the
girl is trying to cheat.

Ah Jeff, you are so cruel...LOL

<vbg>
On second thought maybe the About form might not be noticed.
I think using Sensei Leban's Text Scroller across the top might be more effective.
;-)

tina

oh, you're not as cruel as you could be. <g>
i was thinking more along the lines of a modal, popup form (with your
message) with no Close options, from an auto exec macro, that closes on the
Timer after maybe 5 (10?) minutes - plenty of time to get noticed - but
doesn't open at all until the day *after* the assignment is due. you could
go whole hog and call it every time a form or report opens. i guess we could
call that a booby-trap?

effective.

Preferably in an exceedingly garish color combination in Plump MT or
Rockwell Extra Bold fonts. I'd suggest Hattenschweiler (but we've probably
all deleted it already.)

Fred Boer

Delete "Hattenschweiler"!? But "Hattenschweiler" is *such* a great name!
Mind you, as a high school teacher, I've become inured to almost any
font...<g>

Of course, I have also been known to pace about my office muttering about
"failing anyone who doesn't use Courier 12 point".. but I usually get over
it...

Fred Boer

P.S. Any other "pet peeve" fonts? ;)

Hey, lay off Hattenschweiler already! Never have so many characters been
squashed into such a small space!

But I must say, Plump MT sounds attractive ...

Are we on the "cutting edge" of something here? Is Haettenschweiler
developing a cult following? Inquiring minds want to know!

T

tina

who, me?? why, i'm a kind, gentle and very generous person....well, most of
the time... <g>

L

Lynn Trapp

;-) It's that time when it's not "most of the time" that I am worried about.
But I don't see myself running to that much at all. <g>
