Suggested enhancement for the custom dictionary: Expand the functionality of
the custom dictionary to include a list of user-defined watch words. This
would be a list of words that Word would flag or highlight for the user to
ensure that the user has chosen the proper word in a document. For instance,
I often type "form" when I mean to type "from." Or I may type "of" when I
mean to type "if," due to the location of I and O on the keyboard. The
spelling check is not going to highlight any of these words since they are
spelled correctly, but they may be improper in a sentence.
It would be great if the custom dictionary allowed me to create a list of
words, such as "from" and "form," that it would highlight as words to verify
or watch out for. That way, Word could alert me that I should verify that I
have typed the correct word in a document. I could simply scan through the
document looking for a visual indicator that highlights a watch word. When I
find a highlighted watch word, I could either verify that it is the correct
word or change it to the correct word.
