I may be misunderstanding the posts, but if I understand correctly, you
really don't need to publish the sites to your local machine, correct? If you
just want to develop the sites, you can do so by just creating new sites and
placing them in different folders. Once created, you can edit and preview
them on your local machine, and publish them to your host's web server.
Also, while your web host allows you to have unlimited domains (and I can't
think of any that won't...after all, its more business for them) bear in mind
that a domain is different than a web site. For instance in you have the
DOMAIN yourdomain.com registered to you, and you publish a site to it, when a
surfer goes to
www.yourdomain.com by default (unless you have a meta
redirect) that site's index.htm(l) page will open. You will need a unique
DOMAIN name registered for each site. If, on the other hand, you mean that
your host allows you to have unlimited subdomains, then you would have to
create subwebs within your home web, and they would all have to be accessed
via your home domain name.
For example, you have a site at yourdomain.com and publish a subweb called
site2. To get to THAT sites index.htm(l), you would have to type in
www.yourdomain.com/site2.
The help system in FP has detailed instructions on creating subwebs.
Hope this helps.
