Creating a 2nd Site

How do I create a 2nd site that is totally separate from the one I have
already created? I am unable to create a 2nd site to publish without erasing
the first site I made. Can someone help me?

Are you talking about on your local machine with Windows XP?
If so, it will only hold one default root web. The rest will have to be
created as sub webs (subsites) to the root web.

Yes it is my computer with Windows xp. So basically I can only publish one
site with Frontpage? By creating a subsite will I be able to publish a 2nd
site with a different domain name and no connection to the first? My hosing
company allows me to host unlimited domains and I wanted to create 2
different sites. I guess I am asking if that is at all possible and if so
how would I do it.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can publish a sibsite as a full site with a different domain and no
connection to the first.

I looked in the help section in Frontpage and it did not tell me how to
create a subsite in a way that made sense to me. Could you please tell me
how to create a sub site. Also by creating a subsite will the subsite have
its own index.htm page? I was thinking about having someone design a site in
frontpage then import the template. Would I be able to do this with a
subsite?

I may be misunderstanding the posts, but if I understand correctly, you
really don't need to publish the sites to your local machine, correct? If you
just want to develop the sites, you can do so by just creating new sites and
placing them in different folders. Once created, you can edit and preview
them on your local machine, and publish them to your host's web server.

Also, while your web host allows you to have unlimited domains (and I can't
think of any that won't...after all, its more business for them) bear in mind
that a domain is different than a web site. For instance in you have the
DOMAIN yourdomain.com registered to you, and you publish a site to it, when a
surfer goes to www.yourdomain.com by default (unless you have a meta
redirect) that site's index.htm(l) page will open. You will need a unique
DOMAIN name registered for each site. If, on the other hand, you mean that
your host allows you to have unlimited subdomains, then you would have to
create subwebs within your home web, and they would all have to be accessed
via your home domain name.

For example, you have a site at yourdomain.com and publish a subweb called
site2. To get to THAT sites index.htm(l), you would have to type in
www.yourdomain.com/site2.

The help system in FP has detailed instructions on creating subwebs.

Hope this helps.
