Creating a Library Catalogue?

S

Sam Clarke

Hi,

I recently visited a small library in which Microsoft Access was used as the
library catalogue. It was really efficient, as it was easy to modify and
create new entries of books, and there was a search
option as well.
I own Access 2000, but have never used it, and I have always wanted to
create a librarycatalogue of all my books.

Please can anyone help me as to how I can create a catalogue of books, and
maybe have a section on videos, or where I might find instructions on how to
do this?

Thanks so much for the help,
Sam Clarke

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the quick reply!
Could you possibly provide me with a link to these templates, as I cannot
find them.
Any more information would be great,

Thanks
Sam

Much appreciated!

Could anyone briefly explain how I can create a database from scratch (like
those in the templates), as this would be useful in personalising the
database for my collection.

Thanks again,
Sam

If you want to personalise it, you would not create it from scrathc. Just
download it and make the changes you need.

What do you want to change?

Note: The point of using Access is to allow you to create custom databases
using forms, queries, and reports that you build. If you are not up to
building your own, then you should probably be looking a shareware or
freeware products available. They will most likely allow you to set up some
control features and custom reports.

It would be difficult to explain *briefly* how to create a database from
scratch and still provide enough detail to be useful. But check out the
articles and tutorials at
