Creating a Master Slide

I started with a blank presentation: addes background, text etc.. How do I
make this slide my Master Slide? I try to copy and paste but it only copies
the text not the background colors.

Save your presentation as a template (.POT) file. then base your new
presentation on this new template Microsoft, when you save it will put it
into the correct folder.
