Creating a new stationery

I'm trying to create a new stationery with a logo and my business information
(i.e., address, telephone number, email, etc.) at the top of the email page.
The information would be in color and would appear with a clear background.

When I try to create a new stationery, the software interprets my image
(logo/address ect) as to be posted as "background". The image is repeated
multiple times. I only want this at the top of the stationery.

I would think that many people would want this same flexibility. I tried
using HTML and letting microsoft word being the editor. I would rather not
use word if possible.

Any help would be appreciated. PS: When I tried to use word, I could not
get the default to use my new memo page (HTML) (with logo/address etc) to
show up on the screen.
